Oenophile in training
So I went to my second wine festival this past weekend (third, if you count to the one I attended in utero ... don't worry, Mom wasn't drinking). This one was a wine & bluegrass festival at Chrysalis Vineyards in Loudoun County, Virginia. It's Mom and Dad's favorite winery in Virginia; they specialize in the Norton grape, which is is native to the Richmond, Virginia, area. The festival was so much fun, even though it was 90 degrees out! The music was GREAT, we got to go on a hayride through the vineyards, taste 9 different wines (and take some home), taste some chocolate and wine pairings, and check out all of the cool vendors. To the left is a picture Dad took during the hayride.
